Public Policy Recommendations for Chicago's Next Mayor
The Joyce Foundation supports public policy to advance racial equity and economic mobility for the next generation of the Great Lakes region. With assets of $1 billion and annual grantmaking of $50 million, we make significant investments in a range of programs to make progress on these goals.
In the coming weeks, Chicago will elect a new mayor who will be tasked with, among many things, improving quality of life and creating more equitable opportunities for all city residents. This pursuit is at the core of our work here at Joyce. As such, we offer the following recommendations for policy priorities for the next mayor, ideas that we believe form the foundation of a better future for all Chicagoans. We also offer our willingness to be a partner in the progress we all seek.
